June 9th: Free Outdoor Movie Ice Age II: The Meltdown!

Mark your calendars, we will be having our first outdoor movie, Ice Age II: The Meltdown on June 9th! Movie will begin at dusk around 8:30 PM. We are postponing our Grand Opening until we see what the turn out will be like for our first movie.

NOW OPEN!!

After many months of planning and hard work we finally opened on May 1st!! Overall our first day went pretty smoothly. It was raining off and on most of the day so we were not able to put up the bounce house but we still attracted several customers. We will be continuing to add products and services so please come visit us often. Smoovies is now open!

Meet the Smoo Crew!

I am pleased to announce our first 8 Smoo Crew members! They are Chanda, Chelsey, Kaylee, Kaylene, Kylie, Megan, Ryan, and Sesha. We had a great time this morning bonding as a team by playing a "Smoovies Survior" Challenge followed by a short Smoovies presentation. In the afternoon we conducted a training session in which we invited friends to be our test subjects and sample our practice smoovies. Our crew did an excellent job and everyone loved their smoovies! I am thrilled and look forward to be able to work with such a talented group of young people! A short bio along with a picture of each crew member will be posted on our walls so you will get to know them a little better as well as hear their plea as to why they deserve your tip. Please show your appreciation with a word of encouragement or small gratuity!

Initial Hiring

We have been busy interviewing our many applicants for the past 2 weeks and have been very impressed by the quality of people we have spoken with. We wish we could hire everyone but unfortunately we can only select a few at this time. We will be contacting those we have selected for a second round of interviews. We hope to hire more people as the summer months approach. Thank you for all those who applied!

Opening Day

You may have seen our sign out on Keene Rd and have probably been wondering when we will be opening. We had originally targeted to open in mid-April, however due to some delays we are now targeting the end of April or beginning of May. Thank you so much for your patience as we try to work out all the last minute kinks.
